7 day Habits Awareness Challenge (22nd June 2025 - 28th June 2025)
Everything started with my encounter with the book Atomic Habits by James Clear. The aim is to achieve my goal of becoming an IFS officer in the last upsc attempt. As the say you are your habits. Right once make you and bad onces break you. Thus For achieving my aim I have decided to first recognise and then sustain the good habits and choices & improve the bad habits and improve my choices.
This post will record my the first step, that is to recognise and record habits from waking up to bed time. Each day I will record my habits in the following format.
1. Habit
2. Time
3. Type
4. Nature - good, bad, neutral.
Eg -
1. Habit - after each study session in library scrolling one or the other app. Why? - refreshing myself.
2. Time - 4pm
3. Nature - bad.

Goal: Simply notice your habits. No judgment. Build awareness.
📅 Day 1 – 22nd June (Saturday)
1. Morning Intention
Today I want to feel: Clarity and in Control
One habit I want to notice: What do I do when I say myself that let's do this thing.
2. Habit Log

1. 2:19PM - Scrolling relentlessly and switching between apps. X
2. 4:02PM - # or sex related something in the night after i officially declare my work time is over. X - why/motive? - at the end of the day I want to do something that makes me feel like i concluded my day with a sense of joy, happiness, accomplishments etc basically I want to feel good and complete before I go to bed. I want to celebrate.
3. 5:20PM - when you begin your day in library you do not sit, become stable and ask and reflect what's needed to be done today or reviewing what you have planned. Neither you ask yourself if something is missing. X
4. 5:20PM - You are skipping news papers. X
5. Not remembering about challenge. Eg you didn't remember that form.below is to be filled.

1. Not tracking time.
2. Not settling or estimating time limits.
3. You start thinking in a linear manner. Eg when you got to know what questions and questioning is you stopped seeing, observing or any other way of thinking. Now when you got to know what is observation you stopped questioning or any other way of thinking needed in that context.
4. Over confidence. 5 attempts got done because of this. Seek help. Identifying when you are unable.
